Aim High Advising LLC was developed with one goal in mind, to help food plants in their compliance journey with both customer requirements and regulators. The owner and lead consultant at Aim High Advising LLC has over a decade of experience in several aspects of the food industry.
Amy Miller, the owner of Aim High Advising LLC, was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Niagara University and her Master of Arts in Biology at Buffalo State College. After obtaining her degrees, Amy was able to work in a number of positions where she was able to develop her leadership skills. Amy began her career at Bureau Veritas where she tested private label consumer products to see if they were comparable to national brands. After this position she worked at NutraBlend Foods where she worked in Regulatory Affairs as well as product development. Amy also worked as a microbiologist at PeroxyChem where she worked on several research projects related to the food industry. She ended up moving to Kentucky where she accepted a position as a supervisor at Azteca Milling. After assisting that plant with the implementation of their environmental monitoring program, she moved to Minnesota. Amy accepted a supervisor position at Kerry Ingredients where she maintained all the food safety documentation for the site. She worked as an SQF practitioner at Fairmont Foods, Inc. and was promoted to Quality Manager within a year of employment. In this position, she was able to put programs in place that reduced customer complaints by 27% and improved all audit scores. Currently she is working as a Senior Quality Leader at Kroger in South Carolina where she is rebuilding their Quality Department.
During her decade of experience, she was able to gain valuable knowledge of food safety regulations in both USDA and FDA facilities. She has a background in microbiology as well as regulatory affairs. She has conducted supplier audits and has guided her plants through dozens of regulatory and customer audits. Amy knows the unique challenges that food plants face with audit preparation, food safety and HACCP plan preparation, and employee training and she wants to help!
